Scott Riley is founder and director at Lambda Clearing Designs, a London-based consultancy specializing in clearing and settlement for the financial sector. He is a veteran executive in the banking and exchange space, and was one of the founding directors at Chi-X Europe, where he disigned and implemented the multilateral trading facility's post-trade model. He was also in charge of exploring initial clearing options for Chi-X Australia before its 2011 launch.
Riley is best known for developing Chi-X Europe’s post-trade market model, working with ABN Amro to establish the European Multilateral Clearing Facility, one of the first pan-European clearing houses. In May 2013 he was recruited by Morgan Stanley to lead a new international clearing initiative designed to complement its electronic trading platform.
Riley holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. He also studied business administration and commerce at Griffith University, also in Brisbane.
