Ricardo Manrique is a financial industry executive who was most recently executive director of MSCI in New York.
Before joining MSCI, he was the CEO of STOXX, Ltd., a joint venture of Deutsche Borse AG, Dow Jones & Company and SIX Swiss Exchange AG. He took over that position on October 1, 2008. At STOXX, he was based in Zurich and was responsible for identifying and implementing strategic business initiatives, developing new licensing opportunities, and positioning the Dow Jones STOXX Indexes strategically. He was also responsible for the overall day-to-day management of STOXX Limited.
Also, Manrique spent ten years in various derivatives and indexing positions at leading investment banks and index providers such as JP Morgan, STOXX Limited and Dow Jones Indexes. At STOXX Limited, Manrique was responsible for index operations and product development.
Before joining STOXX Limited, Manrique was responsible for Latin American derivatives sales & structuring at Standard Bank Plc. In that role his focus was primarily on working with corporate clients in identifying and managing balance sheet risks through the use of derivatives based products.
Manrique holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a master of business administration from Columbia Business School.
