Kellie Ann Togashi is an attorney and former associate at Ziliak Law, LLC.[1]

Background

Before attending law school, Togashi worked with clients in the banking and investment industry as an investment associate for BancWest Investment Services, the broker-dealer for First Hawaiian Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii. She also worked as an operations coordinator for BancWest Investment Services and has held the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as the State of Hawaii Life, Health and Accident Insurance license.

While in law school, Togashi served as a commercial banking law clerk with the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in the Division of Banking. As a law clerk with the division, Togashi's responsibilities included interpreting rules of the Illinois Banking Act, drafting amendments to the Illinois Administrative Code, and implementing rules of the division by drafting orders, legal memoranda, and responsive letters to banks. Togashi also handled consumer complaints, conducted witness interviews, prepared the legal staff for depositions, and communicated with key staff of financial institutions. Also during law school, Togashi was a law student counselor with The John Marshall Law School’s Business Enterprise Law Clinic, where she provided pro bono legal services to small businesses with limited financial resources.

Before joining Ziliak Law, Togashi worked with the Law Offices of Tracy M. Rizzo, P.C. She also worked as an investigator for the CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE)'s Department of Market Regulation. She prepared and presented case reports for departmental and business conduct committee meetings, created and drafted investigator procedures, and assisted in drafting the CFE’s departmental policies and procedures manual.

Education

Togashi has a B.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Shidler College of Business. Kellie Ann obtained her J.D. and J.D. Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and is a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.
