Joseph Noviello is managing director of Dealerweb Technologies at Tradeweb. He was appointed to the position in May 2018.

Background

Previously, Noviello served as a managing partner of LMJ Advisors.

Before that, he was senior managing director of eSpeed transaction services at Nasdaq OMX. He joined Nasdaq in June 2013 upon the acquisition of eSpeed from BGC Partners, Inc..[1]

Noviello joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 1995, and was the chief architect of its eSpeed venture. He was the chief technology officer for eSpeed before he was promoted to executive vice president and chief information officer. Noviello was also appointed to the firm's board of directors. His team at eSpeed was credited for the firm's ability to accommodate the US Treasury trading volumes after September 11, 2001, when 658 employees perished in the World Trade Center attack. Of the 658, 180 of them worked for its eSpeed subsidiary. [2] [3]

When eSpeed merged with inter-dealer broker BGC to form BGC Partners, Inc., he stayed on as chief product architect. He also served as a managing partner of Epsilon Networks, a high speed communications network that is a joint venture between Thesys Technologies and BGC Partners.

Before joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Noviello was vice president of product development at the data systems vendor Micrognosis. [4]

Education

Noviello received a degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Oswego.
