John Tornatore serves as director of business development and global head of cryptocurrencies at Cboe Global Markets. He is responsible for US and international marketing initiatives to grow the Cboe and Cboe Futures Exchange. In his cryptocurrency role, which began in January 2018, he is responsible for developing new business in that space globally.
He joined the then Chicago Board Options Exchange in 2010 as director of global client services. He rose to director of business development at Cboe in 2013.
Before joining Cboe, he served as vice president of operations at Zack's Investment Research from October 2005 to September 2010.
Earlier, he worked at Innovative as vice president of operations from October 2005 to September 2010. He began his career as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch in 2001.
Tornatore earned a bachelor of science degree at the University of Toledo in financial and financial management services in 2000 and an MBA in finance from Northeastern University. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School executive education program.
