David S. Goone
David S. Goone is chief strategy officer for the Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE).[1][2][3][4] He is responsible for all aspects of ICE's product line, including futures products and capabilities for ICE's electronic platform.[5][6] Goone represents ICE on industry boards including the OCC, the National Futures Association and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Additionally, he is a director of Maroon Holding LLC, the governing Board of MERSCORP Holdings, Inc., where ICE has a majority ownership interest. He is also vice chairman of the board of Cetip, a publicly-traded company in Brazil in which ICE is a minority shareholder.[7] He is also a member of the CFTC Global Markets Advisory Committee. BackgroundBefore joining ICE, Goone was the managing director, product development and sales at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) where he worked for nine years. From 1989 through 1992, Goone was vice president at Indosuez Carr Futures, where he developed institutional and corporate business. Prior to joining Indosuez, Goone developed and managed exchange-traded foreign currency options operations at the CME for Chase Manhattan Bank.
