After leaving the Chicago Board Options Exchange in the late 1970s, she began her long career in operations at Chicago Mercantile Exchange, moving quickly up the ranks to senior vice president of marketing for CME  in the mid-1980s. She handled marketing at Lind-Waldock upon leaving CME late in 1990s, and has worked for the Chicago Stock Exchange,New York Board of Trade and Nasdaq-Liffe Markets (NQLX) in various marketing positions.
